In part I and II I was plunged into the world of Alexander Black and his need for total control. Gemma, who is feisty and stubborn who is willing to give him all that he asks for…mind, body, and soul! Now, in part III Alexander’s beast finally comes out and to put it mildly, he is ruthless!! Gemma is placed in a situation where time is of the essence and Alexander is more than willing to rise to the occasion.
Adrenaline rush is an understatement! I finished this book and it took me a few days to come down from the high I was on. I didn't know how to put into words how this book made me feel. I must admit, I was afraid that the ending would leave me with questions, but, as usual N.M. Catalano doesn't disappoint.
Alex's love for Gemma shined through in this conclusion. Parts of the book reminded me of the song "Can't Remember to Forget You" by Shakira. There is a line that says...but when you look at me, the only memory is us kissing in the moonlight" and all I could think of was the Faceless Man. The song is about a relationship that should not be and it fits this story. I was wrecked emotionally before it was over.

Worth the Read?
It’s hard to give a review without giving spoilers, so what I can say is that the author found a way to merge characters from her other books and it was magnificent! I burst into laughter when I realized what I was seeing. Gemma was so strong and she tamed Alex’s beast. When she realized that Alex and the Faceless Man were the same person, I thought she would freak, but, she handled it the way a mature woman would that is comfortable with her sexuality. The sex is raw, passionate, and erotic. Just when I thought it couldn’t get better, my heart was left racing. This book was “on the edge of your seat” awesome! Every loose end/cliffhanger was pieced together. The one thing I was surprised at was who the mole turned out to be. Every revelation made me want to respond. I felt their sadness in being apart, I felt hot during their lovemaking, I felt pain when Alex was torn, I felt broken when Gemma had to suffer for Malcolm’s crimes. Delicious, hot, raw, decadent, alpha, erotic…. another work of art by a brilliant author. This series had it all and yet not enough. I wanted more, but, only because it was that good! Kudos Nadine on this brilliant conclusion to Black Ink! Solid 5 Star Read!!
