Author Bio

Alison started writing in 2015 and by the beginning of 2016 had published her first four books.

Her desire to see her books on shelves led to her next work the Club Thrive series. She submitted it for publication with Limitless Publishing and was thrilled that it was quickly accepted. Excited to reach that goal, she moved on to the next series she had in mind and wrote Saved By a Soldier: Love Conquers Life book 1

Alison enjoyed reading as a child and found her passion for it again in 2011 when E.L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey was released. Her love of reading was re-ignited and she continued reading other books in the same genre. In the summer of 2015, she decided to give writing a try and two weeks later Finding Love was born.

As soon as she finished the first book, she began writing the second book in the series. Her third book was finished by the time Finding Love had been accepted for publication. Alison discovered she has a passion for writing and has spent the last year meeting new readers and sharing the love she has for writing.

Married to her own real life hero, Alison met her love in Massachusetts where she was born and raised. She and her family now reside in sunny Florida and when she’s not writing she enjoys playing soccer, basketball, and football with her son.

The Interview

When did you realize that you wanted to be an Author and how did you choose Erotic Romance?

I started writing in 2015 after I got back into ready. I loved reading a good series, but was discovering that there weren’t too many out there where the characters from the first book thread to the end, so I came up with a a series all my own and now my characters thread thought each of my series.

What do you like to do when you’re not writing? Read, listen to music and I recently started Taekwondo

What is your process of creating your characters and how do you determine what the storyline/plot will be?

I’m not a plotter. I simply sit down and write. My characters determine the path of the book.

Do you place limits on how deep you delve into erotica or do you let your creativity flow?

Actually I’ve backed off the world of Erotica a bit. I do write steamy romance and some of my books do dip into the world of toys and rough play but I not to the point I would consider myself a full on Erotica author.

Is your new release, Refuse To Lose everything you expected and what are readers saying?

I am so excited for this release. It is actually one of my softer books, but it’s a really fun read and the reviews are great! It’s currently sitting at 4.9 out of 5 stars on Amazon.

Are you taking a break or have you already started on the next book?

I have already started the next book. It’s called Hustle and Heart and I’m planning to release it in August.

Who are some of your favorite Authors and how have they influenced you?

K. Bromberg, JL Drake, EL James, Meredith Wild. I think they’ve all influenced me in different ways. Some professionally and some as a writer. I like to sit back and watch successful writers and see what they do and how they interact with readers.

Are any of your works based on personal experiences?

There are personal pieces of me in every book I’ve written. I’m also working on From Ballet Shoes to Combat Boots: To Love and Serve 2 and that book is very personal.

Social Media is very present in everyday life, do you find it difficult balancing family, writing, and keeping up with your online community?

Absolutely, I think this is a constant struggle for most authors. I personally try to do most of my work during the day while my son is in school, but it’s hard to not work in the evening when most of my readers are online.

If you weren’t an Author what would you be doing at this time in your life?

I have no idea. I love what I do and am glad I started this journey.

Finally, what message do you have for your readers?

THANK YOU! Seriously from the bottom of my heart. The love and support I have received from my readers will never be forgotten. I love meeting my readers both online in Alison’s Army and in person at signings.

There is no better feeling to meet someone new and hear that they’ve ready your work and loved it. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your continued support. I love you all.
