We don’t choose who we love and we can’t choose where life ends up taking us over the years.

So many people are in long distance relationships making it work. But these types of relationships are much different than others.

In 2014, around 14 million people said they were in long distance relationships, showing just how strong our bonds can be even with distance between us.

Erotic Book Review is working to help you take your relationship to the next level and I want to give some answers to people in long distance relationships that are feeling a bit lost.

If you’re in a long-distance relationship, you may have a few relationship questions. Keep reading for some answers.

It seems like the internet is full of solid advice for people in relationships that live with or super close to each other. But what about answers for those who are in long distance relationships?

I’ve put together some of the most common relationship questions I’ve seen, to shed some light on LDRs.

This is one of the most common relationship questions out there.

The short answer to this question is that there isn’t a distance too big for an LDR to work.

Let’s think about this for a second. You can send out a text message to anywhere in the world and it’ll be received in just a few seconds.

You can also video chat with someone in the North Pole (as long as they have some internet connection) and you will be talking to them face to face– in the moment!

So distance isn’t necessarily a deal-breaker when it comes to long distance relationships.

What really matters is that you two are committed to communicating and keeping in contact regardless of the distance between you two.

It’s possible that some people in an LDR live only 2 hours apart, but, only see each other 5 times a year. On the other hand, people who live in different countries may see each other every month if they can.

The point is that distance shouldn’t sway your feelings!

Every long distance relationship should have some sort of long-term goal in mind if it’s serious.

I’m not saying to ask your long distance boyfriend of one month when he’s going to hop on a plane and permanently move from Florida to Ohio.

Instead, let things progress naturally and once it’s serious enough to really consider a future together, you will have to have a conversation about what will happen next.

This means being honest: are you willing to move to their city? Do you want to live in different apartments close by at first? Or, do you want a fresh start and move to a new city together?

If your partner can’t give you an answer and it’s been years, you’ll need to think about whether or not you’re okay with waiting and putting your life on hold until someone else decides your fate for you!

Keep in mind, waiting 6 months is different than waiting 6 years so don’t be afraid to have that serious talk.

If you know each other’s schedules, communication will be a lot easier even if your time zones are almost the complete opposite.

A lot of couples that live minutes from each other have to have conversations about communication expectations and what standards they’re going to be held up to.

This is also true for long distance relationships. Are you two more lax in your communication? Are you okay with one phone call a day or do you need texts on the hour whenever you are both awake?

Relationship questions about your LDR? Here are the answers you need.

What do I do if we can’t move together soon?
