What are you willing to give up to keep a happy home? Are you willing to sacrifice parts of yourself…willing to do things you never thought you would do…willing to try forbidden things that also bring pleasure? When the stakes are high, do you know when to roll them, fold them, or walk away?

So many questions with complicated answers. Marriages and friendships are tested. Trust and hearts are broken. A group of couples dare to believe that they have the key to happiness, but, when they share their idea all hell breaks loose!

I read this book in a few hours! I could not wait to see what happened next. The scandal was so enticing that I craved to know the answers to my questions. The main character Janelle was betrayed and it left her confused. She had what she thought was a great marriage, but, her husband could not resist the seduction by his business partner. For me, the difficult part was the impact on the children. Although children are resilient, they know when something is wrong between their parents and it can have a negative impact.

The author did a great job at showing the emotional turmoil that a wife experiences when her husband cheats as well as the emotional support from her cousin. The other couples were an added bonus to this read. I think everybody has these characters in their lives...the ones you genuinely love and the ones you love to hate. When they get together and go on vacation, the party truly begins.
