Quinn Slater lives in a large town in Kentucky where many of his stories take place. His writing career began in mainstream fiction where he has published five novels. But then he found a delicious appetite for writing erotic fiction.

The Interview
When did you know you wanted to become an Author and what made you choose a genre that catered to Women?
Though I started writing a long time ago, I didn’t get serious about it until I completed my masters in creative writing. I already knew I wanted to write romance because I liked the way my words turned women on in chat rooms.
My thesis committee also told me to go into romance. My mentor told me I was the only student he ever had who could make characters fuck for three pages.
Do you find it difficult to write a love scene or do they come fairly easy to you?
They cum very easily. I just imagine what I would do in the situation and go from there. I’m absolutely amazed at how long some people go without sex. I’m in my fifties and still going strong.
Every time I see someone I’m attracted to, a story immediately forms in my mind. It’s pretty fucking amazing. I’ve had to get up after writing a scene and ask myself how I did that so easily. What’s wrong with me?
There’s a girl behind the counter at a Shell Station I stop at every morning for a drink. Of course, she would probably think I’m a perv but I guarantee she’s never been treated better (in my thoughts).
Liquor, wine, or beer?
HAHAHA, I don’t drink. I couldn’t imagine the things I would do if I did drink.
Do you have an idea of what your characters look like or do you see someone and your inspired to write a character around them?
Every woman I’ve written about is someone I know or someone I imagine having sex with. And every one of them is totally different. They constantly show up in my dreams. I’ve had people approach my table at book events and before they said the first word I’ve written the first page in our story together.
Would you consider yourself to be adventurous or are you a homebody?
Adventurous. Get your ass off the couch and go have fun. I love to travel and try new things.
Your life story is being written, what is the title?
If I Could Do It All Over Again…though changing the past would change the two kids I have. I’ve learned to accept things didn’t turn out the way I’d hoped.
What do you like to do when you’re not working on a project?
Go to the gym, work on my library of 6,000 books, work in the yard.
You just had your first Grandchild, put into words how seeing Apollo for the first time made you feel?
Of course, I cried. It was a mix of emotions, really. I thought damn, I made something that made something. Then you look at how shitty the world is and worry about what it will be like for him. It also reminds you of your mortality…. the end is drawing nigh.
What Authors are some of your favorites?
Robert McCammon, Jonathan Trooper. James Rollins, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Jules Verne, Stephen King’s non-horror like Shawshank, Green Mile, Stand by Me. I don’t read romance or erotica. Don’t really like it.
What historical figure from the 1700s would you want to dialog with and what would you want to know about that period of time?
Nobody. Give me a hot woman from that time period and let’s get it on. We can have dialogue after.
How do you handle negative reviews?
I’ve only had one and she obviously didn’t read the book she reviewed. In graduate school, we reviewed each other’s stories, so I learned to have thick skin. Quite frankly, you can kiss my ass if you don’t like what I write 🙂
Baseball or Football and what snacks are a must during the game?
Football, and eating pussy during the game is the best snack. I’m serious. I’d miss the Super Bowl to go down.
If you weren’t an Author what other passion would you pursue?
Would love to own one of those old, musty bookstores.
Finally, what message do you have for your readers and the Sinners & Saints?
Since they are all women, I would tell them to stay strong, don’t let anyone mistreat you, and leave a fucking review please 🙂
