Once again I find myself at a loss for words and unable to write my normal format for a review. The Good...The Bad… The Ugly.
This was so much more than that and the only thing I can do is write my feelings. This is a bold, out of the universe work of art that penetrates the deep crevices of your thoughts and makes you step out of your comfort zone. It will draw the meekest person out of their bubble and cause them to shiver, make them weak, and finally revel in the ecstasy of the mental orgasm that this book will no doubt make happen.
James Crow has a way of mesmerizing you with his daring use of fantasy. This is simply mind blowing and yet, not so simple. The emotions I felt were new and they challenged me to open up and say…yes, I can see that happening..yes I can see how one would find pleasure in that. This is just one reason I love James Crow’s writing style. He answers the what if’s that some Authors refuse to question. Teetering on the edge of insanity, only to let you fall into oblivion.
If I could give this book more than 5 Stars, I would.
James Crow is by far one of my favorite Authors because of his uninhibited mind and his ability to step into unchartered territory. Hope is the most twisted mind fuck I’ve ever read. It is a bold read that will force you to expand your mind and take you to a place that you’ve never explored. This is not dark….it is an abyss of twisted imagery that makes darkness look like a beacon of light.
In order to read this and truly appreciate James’s creative genius, you have to have a mind so open that you can literally absorb and accept endless possibilities of what can only be labeled as twisted mind fuckery. This is beyond tangible, beyond dark, beyond abnormal. Think of the most dark story you’ve ever read and go 100 shades darker.
This is unlike anything he’s ever written. My advice….buckle up and clear your mind, because it will need room to expand beyond capacity. Kudos James! Simply brilliant! 5 Solid Fucking Stars!
